***This is a hybrid role, working approximately 25% of time in office and the remainder of time remotely.***

Responsibilities

The Centralized Collections Supervisor is responsible for managing daily operations within the collections department, leading a team of agents to meet productivity goals, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and driving development initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills to foster a high-performing team. The supervisor will also be working back-end delinquency accounts, ensuring effective resolution strategies and consistent follow-up on past-due obligations.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily activities of collections agents and team leads
  • Produce and analyze performance reports to guide improvement plans
  • Evaluate agent calls, calculate call scores, and maintain quality assurance records
  • Manage incentive programs and encourage motivational strategies
  • Adjust collector schedules to meet saturation needs
  • Train new collections staff per company policies
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with FDCPA, TCPA, and other regulatory requirements
  • Report regularly to the Collections Manager on progress and key initiatives
  • Foster a culture of excellence and growth within the department
  • Communicate professionally and openly with team members
  • Maintain accurate systems for attendance, disciplinary actions, and performance tracking
  • Escalate performance or behavioral issues to management as needed
  • Provide support and training resources to collectors
  • Remain available via chat, helplines, and in-person for team support
  • Review dialer reports and monitor system performance
  • Monitor agent attendance and punctuality
  • Address and correct inappropriate conduct in the workplace
  • Respond to emails and voicemails promptly, providing expected response timelines
  • Promote strong working relationships while upholding professional standards
  • Support opening and closing procedures with schedule flexibility
  • Lead by example through motivation and team-building strategies

Qualifications

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 6 months progressive management experience in a phone-based lending call center
  • Preferred background in lending, finance, or collections
  • Proficiency in Windows-based software including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask, follow directions, and collaborate effectively
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and developing staff
  • High attention to detail and sound decision-making capabilities
  • Flexibility to work assigned shifts and rotational scheduling
  • Remote work readiness:
  • Quiet, private workspace
  • Hardwired internet connection using Ethernet cable
  • Internet speeds of at least 50 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload

Remote work is 2 days at home and 3 days in office; subject to change based on team results

 

 

Education or Equivalent Experience

    • Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
    • Associate degree or higher is preferred
    • Commitment to continuous learning and applying industry best practices throughout the client life cycle

Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-9:00 PM Eastern; Sat 8:00 AM-12:00 PM Eastern. 

 

 

Base Hourly Rate: $24.00 - $30.00

 

The base hourly range represents the low and high end of the anticipated hourly range for this position based on the state average.  The actual base hourly offered for this full-time position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, skills, knowledge, competencies, and experience.
