As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a key role in analyzing, designing, and implementing business processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency and support strategic initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions quickly and efficiently using Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

  • Requirements Gathering: Work with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into detailed business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Backlog Management: Prioritize and maintain the backlog, ensuring all items are clearly described, estimated, and prioritized. Facilitate regular backlog grooming sessions.
  • User Story Development: Create well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development team. Ensure user stories clearly convey value to the user and align with broader business objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative culture within your team and mentor junior staff. Encourage open communication and problem-solving to achieve high performance and meet project deadlines.
  • Agile Leadership: Act as the link between business stakeholders and the development team. Guide and participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • User Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on new systems, processes, and applications to ensure successful adoption.
  • Change Management: Facilitate change management processes to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth transitions during system implementations and upgrades.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain documentation, including business requirements, process flows, system configurations, and user manuals. Generate regular reports on project status, issues, and resolutions.
  • Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decision-making and support strategic initiatives.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to data security, privacy, and operational risk management.

Qualifications

What you should have:

 

· 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably in the consumer lending or finance industry.

· Strong understanding of consumer lending products, processes, and regulations.

· Extensive experience writing clear and concise user stories and requirements, managing backlogs, and iterative development.

· Experience with Agile methodology and principles.

· Solid technical skills, including knowledge of SQL, database concepts, and software development life cycle (SDLC).

· Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills.

· Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Proficient with Azure DevOps and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

· B.S. in Computer Science or a related degree or equivalent experience.

 

Base Salary: $70,000 - $90,000

 

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based on the U.S. average. The actual base salary offered for this full-time position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, skills, knowledge, competencies, and experience.

 

All full-time salaried employees are eligible for the following benefits, starting on day one: Flexible Paid Time Off Program, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, and other voluntary coverages. You will also be eligible to participate in our 401k program, starting on the first of the month following 30 days of employment with a company match.
