We are seeking a proactive and innovative Senior System Engineer who excels at diagnosing and solving issues. You will excel in this role if you are a self-starter passionate about AWS/Azure and Windows server technologies. A main focus will be on stability and performance while modernizing our legacy enterprise systems. A deep understanding of our business needs and a commitment to enhancing processes for improved system stability and efficiency are essential. 

What you will be doing:

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows servers and workstations, with a focus on automation
• Developing and implementing automation scripts and tools to streamline system management tasks 
• Managing identity and permissions securely in Active Directory, AWS, and Entra ID
• Monitoring system performance, identifying issues, and implementing solutions to ensure optimal operation with a strong understanding of Client-Server network communication issues 
• Ensuring systems are secure and compliant with company policies and industry standards
• Creating and maintaining detailed documentation and diagrams of system configurations, procedures, and automation scripts
• Working closely with other IT teams to integrate systems and support business operations
• Including DNS management in AWS, Azure, and legacy Active Directory for the purposes of stability, troubleshooting, and providing improvement recommendations

What you should have:

• Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Entra ID is essential
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell are required; experience with other automation tools is a plus
• Knowledge of network protocols and services (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
• Familiarity with Azure and AWS in regard to server deployment and automation, including experience with services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Azure VMs
• Excellent problem-solving skills demonstrated through successful resolution of complex system issues in a fast paced environment
• Strong communication skills, including experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. 

Base Salary: $80,000 - $110,000

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based on the U.S. average. The actual base salary offered for this full-time position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, skills, knowledge, competencies, and experience.

You will also be eligible to participate in our 401k program, starting on the first of the month following 30 days of employment with a company match.
